A number of financial resolutions were placed before Dail Eireann following the Budget 2008.

The following is a summary of the resolutions:

• Financial Resolution No. 1: Increase in excise duty of 30 cent on packets of 20 cigarettes
• Financial Resolution No. 2: Increase of duty on cheques to 30 cent
• Financial Resolution No. 3: Increase in motor tax rates
• Financial Resolution No. 4: Increase in rates in relation to preferential loans
• Financial Resolution No. 5: General
