Finance Act 2008

President McAleese signed the Finance Bill 2008 into law on Thursday 13 March.

The Finance Bill, as passed by Dail Eireann, includes the Report Stage amendments. Two substantive amendments were proposed by the Minister for Finance at Report Stage – one dealt with the cost of retraining a person who is being made redundant; and the other dealt with capital allowances for “palliative care units”.
