HMRC publish the Employer Bulletin three times a year. The August online edition contains extra articles and information not published in the paper publication. It also contains direct links to other websites and directs readers to more detailed information.

Need to know articles include:

• Employer CD-ROM 2008 Revised (August) Edition includes all the information you need to implement the changes to an employees’ tax codes and tax band changes following the Chancellor's announcement on 13 May.
• Extra Personal Allowance in September 2008 outlines increases to the 2008–09 Personal Allowance which comes into effect from 7 September and backdated to 6 April.
• PAYE Online Services gives a brief update on changes to PAYE online services.
