The OECD's annual statistics on Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP) under tax treaties for the 2010 reporting period are now available. For the OECD member countries for which data was provided, the average time for the completion of MAP cases is on the increase, as is the overall trend for the number of open cases.

These statistics reveal that at the end of the 2010 reporting period, the total number of open MAP cases reported by OECD member countries was 3,261. In 2010, the UK opened 68 new cases; Ireland opened just 7.
