Financial Transaction Tax to Launch even if not all Member States Implement it?
Manfred Bergmann, Director for Indirect Taxation and Tax Administration, European Commission says that the Financial Transaction Tax will go ahead without Member States opposed to the tax. In a video interview available on the Commission's website, Mr Bergmann says that the FTT has political momentum in certain Member States. He thinks that the tax will be implemented by a number of Member States if not all 27 Member States agree to the tax.
The video interview is the latest information material made available by the Commission on the FTT. The Commission's website contains press releases, frequently asked questions, the Commission proposal, along with a published impact assessment and citizen's summary.
