Tax Databank Launched

The Central Budget Office in the Department of Finance has launched a public Exchequer Tax Databank available at http://databank.finance.gov.ie/ which contains data on Exchequer tax receipts since 1984 to present.

The Tax Databank contains all historic data, with current year data presented on a monthly basis. Tax trend over a selected number of years, on a rolling basis or a monthly basis, year or year comparisons (in addition to an analysis of actual outturn against profile) is also available.

Monthly Exchequer returns are published by the Department of Finance on the second working day of the subsequent month, and are subsequently reported in Chartered Accountants Tax News. Coverage of the March Exchequer returns and first quarter 2012 follows in the next item.
