A new version of HMRC's SDLT guidance notes was released on 2 July 2012. Also from that date, the current paper version of these notes was withdrawn.

The new guidance is intended to provide targeted help and advice for completing SDLT returns. The new version is available in PDF format accessible from the Stamp Taxes SDLT homepage and will be maintained and updated through regular reviews carried out by Stamp Taxes section.
