New Double Taxation Agreement between Ireland and Uzbekistan and Information Agreement with San Marino
Minister of State Mr. Brian Hayes, T.D., who has special responsibility for international tax issues, signed a new Double Taxation Agreement between Ireland and Uzbekistan.
Commenting on the signing of the Uzbekistan agreement, Minister of State Hayes said that “a number of other new tax treaties are in the pipeline and the Government is making good progress in rolling out a rapidly expanding tax treaty network as a key element in our strategy of achieving an export led economic recovery”.
Following the signing of the agreement with Uzbekistan recently and with Qatar, the total number of Irish bilateral tax treaties that have now been signed is sixty eight of which sixty are in effect.
A Tax Information Exchange Agreement was also signed between Ireland and San Marino on 4 July.
