Form 12 Income Tax Return for 2013 Tax Year

The Form 12 Income Tax return for the year ended 31 December 2013 is available on the Revenue website. This form should be completed by a person whose source of income is from a PAYE employment or pension or by a non–proprietary company director who pays all his/her Income Tax under the PAYE system.

We understand from discussions with Revenue at a meeting of the TALC Collection committee that an eForm 12 on ROS (Revenue Online Service) is due to be released at the end of this month. This form will cover 90% of taxpayers as it will deal with the standard income sources and credits. A more detailed eForm 12 is due to be released in June and this will cover the remaining 10% of taxpayers and will deal with more detailed income sources.

Individuals who are a chargeable person are required to submit a Form 11 Income Tax return. If a chargeable person is subject to mandatory e-Filing, they are obliged to file via Revenue Online Service (ROS).
