The Tax Strategy Group (TSG) papers, prepared in advance of Budget 2015 and Finance Act 2014, were published by the Department of Finance recently. The papers, prepared for the TSG, set out the various options for Budget 2015 and cover the range of tax and social welfare issues as well as an update on a number of taxation reviews carried out in 2014.

Ten papers, and 2 sets of minutes, have been published on the Tax Policy Unit website either exactly as they were submitted to the TSG or as edited version of the original paper.

The TSG is an interdepartmental committee chaired by the Department of Finance, with membership comprising senior officials and advisors from the Departments of Finance, Taoiseach, Enterprise Trade and Employment, Social Community and Family Affairs and the Revenue Commissioners.
