Help to Buy Scheme – further guidance issued by Revenue
Revenue has issued a number of summary guides providing further information on the mechanics of the Help to Buy Scheme.
It is important to note that where an applicant is building a home, any claims for relief under the Help to Buy Scheme must be verified by a solicitor. Revenue has produced a summary guide for solicitors which provides further details.
Contractors are required to be part of the process when applicants are purchasing a new home. For a contractor to become part of the Help to Buy Scheme, they must apply to Revenue (via My Enquiries) to register as a Qualifying Contractor. Details of the application process along with further details for contractors can be found on the Revenue website. Revenue has published a list of current Qualifying Contractors.
