European Parliament committee hears evidence from Minister Donohoe on Money Laundering, Tax Avoidance and Tax Evasion
The Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform recently addressed the European Parliament’s committee on Money Laundering, Tax Avoidance and Tax Evasion (Pana Committee). This Committee was created to investigate alleged contraventions of EU law on money laundering, tax avoidance and tax evasion.
In his address to the committee, Minister Donohoe outlined Ireland’s response to the Panama Papers which included the offshore disclosure project. He also reported on Ireland’s exchange of tax information and international co-operation measures and Ireland’s approach to combating money laundering.
