Consultation on the implementation of the Agri-taxation Review 2014
The Consultative Committee of Accountancy (CCAB-I) responded to the consultation launched by the Department of Finance in relation to the progress that has been made in implementing the 25 recommendations that emerged from the review of Agri-taxation back in 2014.
In its submission, the CCAB-I noted the dangers posed by Brexit for the agri-food sector. Tax policy alone will not be enough to overcome the challenges facing the farming sector but it could nonetheless be useful if it forms part of a cohesive package of well thought-out measures implemented in advance of a crisis arising in the agricultural sector.
