Revenue wrote to all subcontractors last October informing them about changes to the operation of Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT), which came into effect on January 1st 2012. A letter and information leaflet giving subcontractors an overview of how the changes to the RCT system affect them, are now being issued. Subcontractors can expect to receive this mail shot from 23rd August onwards.
The leaflet should be retained as a quick reference guide to the new system. Copies of the letter and information leaflet, together with additional information on the new system, are now available on the Revenue website.
