Revenue Forms

Returns of Income for the 2005 year of assessment were published to the Revenue website in December.

The published forms include the Form 11, the Form 11E and the Form 1, which differ little in material respects from this year's versions. CCAB-I is in discussions with Revenue to achieve more user friendly forms to have effect for 2007 filing dates. Accountants should also note that the threshold for reporting third party payments on Form 46G has increased to €6,000, which is some step towards reducing the compliance burden.

The Form 11E (E apparently stands for “Extract”) should not be used for the new category of chargeable person under the 2005 Finance Act, as it does not cater for property reliefs to the extent required.
