Activity on Tax Designated Schemes

Answering a Parliamentary Question in the first week of Dail sessions, The Minister for Finance gave an indication of the number of Urban and Rural renewal projects currently underway.

The Minister was asked the number of tax designated units which are currently on the market, being constructed and received planning permission under a tax benefit scheme but have not commenced construction. He commented on the outputs of the schemes as of November 2005, and these are as set out below:
