Town Renewal
Iris Oifigiuil of 6 July notes the publication of a series of Statutory Instruments regarding the qualifying areas of certain towns. A list of the towns affected is provided below.
The towns affected by the Statutory Instruments are Cloyne, Cootehill, Croom, Doneraile, Duleek, Dunlavin, Dunleer, Edenderry, Ennistymon, Ferbane, Fermoy, Ferns, Fethard, Foxford, Gorey, Graiguenamanagh/Tinnahinch, Hacketstown, Headford, Kanturk, Kells, Kilbeggan, Kilcock, Kilcullen, Killenaule, Killorglin, Kilmacthomas, Kilmallock, Kilrush, Listowel, Littleton, Loughrea, Miltown Malbay, Moate, Monasterevan, Mountmellick, Mountrath, Moville, and Nenagh.
Chartered Accountants advising on tax incentives in these towns should have recourse to these SI's which are available from the Government Publications Office.
Following the SI's in relation to qualifying areas for Town Renewal reliefs, as outlined above, corresponding SI's in relation to Urban Renewal and LOTS have been issued.
