- Stamp Taxes Online
HMRC have advised their Online Land Transaction Return has been improved. Users now have the opportunity to check and confirm the ‘effective date’, prior to submission where it is more than 30 days after the date of transaction. - Pensions
Pensions Industry Newsletter 28 has now been published and is available at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/nic/newsletter28.pdf. - Fraud Attempt
HMRC have advised of a new fraud attempt that utilises an unsolicited email relating to Child Benefit. - Deferred NICs
Deferment Services have recently undertaken an exercise to calculate the deferred National Insurance contributions (NICs) due (where applicable) for customers who had deferment of payment of NICs in the 2005–2006 tax year. - Working Together
Working Together – Issue 27 has now been published and is available at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/workingtogether/publications/wt-27.htm. - Another Fraud Attempt
HMRC have advised of another fraud attempt where letters are being sent with fake P86 Forms, claiming to be from HMRC, which ask for personal information from taxpayers employed outside the UK. These Forms are fake and should not be completed. - UK: Change of Company Details Online
From 27 June, the facility to amend a company's contact details online is available to HMRC corporation tax online customers, and their authorised agents. - Non-cash Benefits After Retirement
HMRC have published guidance on reporting non-cash benefits provided after retirement during the tax year 2006–07. The deadline for reporting was 7 July 2007.
