Have you problems with linked clients?
At a recent TALC meeting, Revenue advised that all practitioners should check their client lists to ensure that their clients are linked to them. According to Revenue sources the unlinked service is expected to reopen for a short period of time in October.
In order to get a client linked to you, you must contact the relevant Tax District. You will be asked to forward details in writing to the District to confirm that you would like a client transferred to you.
If a client is not linked to you and you have submitted a return through ROS on their behalf, then the return will not be processed even though you may have received confirmation from ROS that the return has been received. The reason for this is that the processing is carried out at District level. So, make sure that all your clients are linked to you.
In addition, if a client is not registered for a particular tax, practitioners should ensure that registration is carried out prior to filing time.
