OECD: Highest–tax Countries
According to figures in the latest edition of the OECD's annual Revenue Statistics publication, Denmark is confirmed as the OECD's highest-tax country, followed by Sweden, while Mexico and Turkey remain the lowest-taxing countries. Ireland is the 10th lowest-taxing country.
The rankings are based on total tax ratio as percentage of GDP for 2006.
