From 27 October 2008 a revised Northern Ireland SSP1 is available for use by employers in Northern Ireland and employers elsewhere with employees in Northern Ireland via the Department for Social Development web site.

A form SSP1 is issued by employers when an employee is not entitled to statutory sick pay or when statutory sick pay has come to an end.
