Update on eRegistration
Revenue provided an update on the eRegistration process and details of new enhancements at a recent meeting of the TALC Collection committee. Among the new enhancements expected in the coming months is the facility for agents to set up links with PAYE clients and to re-register for Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Employers PAYE/PRSI and eLevy.
Revenue also addressed common issues reported with eRegistration. Among the main issues experienced are:
- TIF File Format – Revenue advised that images must be scanned in TIF format. A guidance note on transferring pdf files to TIF will issue shortly
- PPSN details – old PPSN numbers which have the letter “w” will not be accepted by the eRegistration system. Taxpayers will need to obtain a unique PPSN.
- RCT status change – taxpayers should contact their local District to request a change in status. The cancellation function on eRegistration should not be used for this purpose
