The latest issue of the publication for tax agents and advisers published by HMRC in association with the Working Together partner representative bodies is now available.

This edition includes an article outlining the different approaches HMRC may take to collect taxation debts clients have incurred. The article stresses that early contact with HMRC is essential and often an agent's role as intermediary in the collection of outstanding liability can be invaluable in reaching resolution. Also featured is a link to the latest guidance for completion of expenses and benefits forms including a list of common errors to avoid when completing the forms.

A summary of the top five open and closed issues from the National Working Together Team issues register appears on page 3 and an update is provided by the post working group in respect of its review of how Self-Assessment and PAYE employee post is dealt with.
