OECD and India to Enhance Tax Co-Operation
The OECD and India have announced a three year programme to strengthen ongoing co-operation on tax-related issues with the aim of improving structured dialogue and information sharing.
The programme will cover a range of issues including improving tax administration, adapting transfer pricing, tax treaty rules and tax evasion issues. It will also enable India to contribute to OECD work on Tax and Inequality, on the application of VAT/GST to cross border services and on aggressive tax planning and harmful tax practices. India's work within the OECD Committee on Fiscal Affairs and its subsidiary bodies will also be expanded.
