EU Commissioner for Taxation and Customs Union Algirdas Šemeta made a statement on “Tax reforms needed for consolidation and growth” at the press conference on the Annual Growth Survey (AGS) on 23 November. In his statement, Commissioner Šemeta spoke on “tax policy as a fundamental for economic recovery” and the need for Member States to take a long hard look at their tax systems if they are serious in their efforts to achieve consolidation and growth.
