Last month the OTS launched a short survey for tax agents which will be used to inform its ongoing review of small business tax. The deadline for responses was Wednesday 30 November 2011.

The OTS advises that responses will be treated in confidence and will not be attributed to individuals. The results from this survey will be considered alongside other evidence that the OTS has gathered, for example in roadshow events and through surveys of small businesses to shape the ongoing review of small business tax.

By way of reminder the OTS was launched in 20 July 2010 with an intention of providing the Government with independent advice on simplifying the UK tax system.
