Submission to Department of Finance Consultation on Agri-Taxation
Chartered Accountants Ireland has responded to the public consultation as part of the ‘Agri-taxation Review’ which was announced in Budget 2014. In the CCAB-I submission, we point out that most Agri businesses would count as Micro enterprises and suggest that comments already made by CCAB-I on the taxation of Micro enterprises, are relevant to a consideration of farming taxation.
As per correspondence received by us from the Department of Agriculture, following the closing date for written submissions, a round of formal consultation meetings with stakeholders will be held. We will be participating in such consultation meetings and will discuss some more particular comment on Agri tax incentives and reliefs. We will report of any developments under this consultation in Chartered Accountants Tax News.
The CCAB-I submission is published here in this issue of tax.point.
