What’s New with HMRC

Now that the old website content of HMRC has been migrated to GOV.UK, let’s take a quick look at where to find what you might need and how the new pages might be used.

HMRC is now pointing users toward their new landing page on GOV.UK, as of the end of last year the old What’s New page stopped being updated. Instead, HMRC have said that its latest changes to guidance can now be found on the HMRC latest feed on GOV.UK. Users can sign up for email alerts or the RSS feed to keep up to date with changes.

If someone is interested in specific areas rather than all of HMRC’s latest news, it is possible to tailor preferences to individual subjects, such as self assessment, PAYE or VAT. A full list of the subjects covered by email alerts is available on the Services and information page.

HMRC are seeking feedback on the new pages – more information on the changes is also available in the news item on Digital Services for Agents (page 14).
