Revenue advise in eBrief No. 43/15 that from December the only login method available for Revenue Online Service “ROS” will be JavaScript and it will no longer be possible to access the service using Java.

In the eBrief ROS users are also advised to ensure that they have a compatible internet browser, one of the following will work with JavaScript:

• Internet Explorer 10 or higher
• Google Chrome – recent versions
• Mozilla Firefox – recent versions
• Safari – version 6.1 or higher

If you are using Internet Explorer, one way you can check the version you are using is to:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click the Tools button (cog image in the top right hand corner of the screen),
3. Click ‘About Internet Explorer’ (last option in the list)
4. You can Install new versions automatically by clicking the check box, and then click OK.

Similar methods can be followed when checking the version of other internet browsers.
