Revenue has published guidance on “Exchange Traded Funds” or “ETFs” – a general investment industry term that refers to a wide range of investments. The guidance covers the tax treatment that Revenue will seek to apply to investments in ETFs held by investors that are tax resident in Ireland. Revenue has also updated their Tax and Duty Manual to include this guidance. See Revenue eBrief No. 45/15.
