iXBRL filing extension

For companies with an accounting year ended 31 December 2014 and filing their financial statements in iXBRL, Revenue has extended the iXBRL filing deadline to 31 October 2015. Normally iXBRL returns are due to be filed within 21 days of the filing of Form CT1 or after the due date for the return – whichever is later.

Following representations, Revenue has extended the iXBRL filing deadline of 14 October to 31 October 2015. This deadline applies to the filing of financial statements of companies with an accounting year ended 31 December 2014 in iXBRL. Revenue eBrief No. 94/2015 confirms the extension and you can read this eBrief here.

Please note that there is no change to the filing deadline for the Form CT1 in respect of accounting year ended 31 December 2014, this deadline was Wednesday 23 September.
