Filing FATCA Returns in 2016

The Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act or “FATCA” filing option is now available on Revenue Online Service (ROS). This filing option was closed by Revenue to allow for enhancement work to be carried out to the FATCA filing process.

The reporting deadline for 2015 FATCA returns is 30 June 2016 and all returns must be filed using ROS. In order to help agents and Reporting Financial institutions ensure the format of their FATCA returns are correct, Revenue has provide an offline validator took which can be accessed on ROS.
