Mandatory e-repayment regime
Since 3 May 2016, refunds or repayments that are due to taxpayers who are mandatory eFilers will be paid electronically to their bank accounts. Reflecting the upsurge in recent scams Revenue advises they will never ask taxpayers to send bank account details via standard email.
To avoid any delays in receiving refunds, Revenue recommends that taxpayers or agents login to Revenue Online Service (ROS) to ensure that the taxpayer bank details are up to date. If bank details are not held by Revenue, refunds will be withheld and the taxpayer/agent will be requested to provide these details via ROS.
