HMRC’s government gateway login page has being redesigned and moved to GOV.UK. The new login page took effect from 31 May 2016. Users will be automatically redirected to the new page if they try to access the old login page.

Some organisations may have what is known as a “silent login” to the government gateway in their software. This will need to be updated. Some computers store the user ID and password which appear when prompted with the first letter/number. This prompt will not work on the new GOV.UK page.
