Jamaica and Uruguay sign up to OECD Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters

Jamaica and Uruguay recently signed the Multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters and Brazil deposited its instrument of ratification of the Convention. Jamaica and Uruguay became the 95th and 96th jurisdictions to join the Convention.

The OECD has also launched a Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Regional Programme to strengthen co-operation within the region. The OECD LAC Regional Programme was launched on 1 June 2016 at the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting in Paris under the Chairmanship of Chilean President Michelle Bachelet.
