Two more jurisdictions removed from EU tax location black list

ECOFIN has removed the Bahamas and Saint Kitts and Nevis from the EU’s list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions at a recent meeting on 25 May. This list aims to counter tax fraud and promote good governance worldwide.

According to ECOFIN’s press release, the Bahamas and Saint Kitts and Nevis have made commitments at a high political level to remedy EU concerns. EU experts have assessed those commitments.

Eight jurisdictions were removed from the list following commitments made at a high political level to remedy EU concerns in January this year while the Council removed Bahrain, the Marshall Islands and Saint Lucia from the list in March of this year.
