The cost of PAYE Modernisation
Responding to a parliamentary question on PAYE Modernisation, Minister for Finance Paschal Donohue said that “significant change management structures” have been put in place to get ready for PAYE Modernisation. Mr Donohue said that Revenue are well advanced in its preparations with around 100 staff working solely on the project which will go live on 1 January 2019. Total project spend so far is just over €9 million and the total cost of the project is expected to be in the region of €25–€30 million. Revenue will run regional information events in September 2018 and will also begin a media and advertising campaign later this year to raise awareness of the programme.
Chartered Accountants Ireland continues to attend monthly stakeholder meetings with Revenue and will keep our members up to date with all developments on PAYE Modernisation. You can also get information on PAYE Modernisation on Revenue’s website.
