Spouse/Civil partner information required on Form 11

Revenue are reminding tax filers that when filing a Form 11 on a joint assessment basis, additional information about the taxpayer’s spouse or civil partner must be provided.

Revenue will however pre-populate the Form 11 returns where the information is available to them and have said in eBrief No. 161/18 that information provided to them in 2017 will be used to pre-populate future Form 11 returns. The Date of Marriage will not be pre-populated on the 2017 Form 11 and a date of marriage must therefore be entered where required.

Tax filers should also be aware that any changes made to pre-populated information can delete pre-populated data on other panels.
