Taoiseach and Minister for Finance defend Irish tax policy at World Economic Forum
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and the Minister for Finance recently attended the Annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and defended Ireland’s low-tax regime and Apple case.
The Irish Government also repeated its position that a digital tax should be levied on profits, not sales, and be implemented at international level rather that by the EU, according to the Irish Times. Minister Donohoe took part in a high-level panel discussion on international tax issues alongside the OECD Secretary General, Angel Gurría.
