Revenue published a PAYE Modernisation update last week stating that over 153,000 employers have submitted payroll data since 1 January 2019. Revenue are reminding employers that employee’s pay and deductions must be submitted to Revenue on or before the date of payment.

Employers who experience difficulty using the new system but who fail to engage with Revenue or those who persistently breach the PAYE Regulations are subject to a €4,000 penalty per breach
