Revenue’s guidance on payments to Directors (office holders) has been updated to set out that payments to office holders are chargeable to tax under Schedule E and subject to deductions at source under the PAYE system, even if at the time of making the payment the company is unable to establish if the payment is something other than remuneration arising from the Directorship.
