ROS Downtime Notice

The Revenue On-Line Service (ROS) will be unavailable on Tuesday evening 17th April from 7 p.m. approx to allow for an upgrade to the service. We regret any inconvenience caused as a result of this downtime.

In e-Brief 16/2007 of 22 March, Revenue announced the extended deadline of 15th November for Income Tax customers who both file and pay online. This extended payment deadline will be available for customers filing 2006 returns on ROS from Wednesday 18th April.

Also included in this release is a new online facility for ROS customers and practitioners to notify Revenue of a new employee commencement where the employee has provided a P45 (Part 3) from the former employer. Filing these ‘New Employee’ forms online will provide employers and employees with an automated tax credit certificate for the new employment, within a matter of days in most cases. This new form is also being made available in the ROS offline facility to assist customers to prepare these returns in advance of online filing. From Wednesday 18th April users of ROS Offline can select the Download tab followed by Refresh to download the ‘New Employee’ form.
