New Revenue Online Service Facility-Pre-Population of 2010 ROS Form 11
The 2010 ROS Form 11 can now be pre-populated with data from the 2009 Form. This new ROS facility was included in a ROS release last month and is available for both the ROS on-line and ROS off-line applications.
The pre-populated data will be taken primarily from the 2009 Form 11 and the figures will be those held on record at the time the form is opened or downloaded from ROS. While the majority of fields in the Form 11 will be pre-populated, some fields, such as the Capital Gains Tax panels, will not.
The P35 details (pay, tax, income levy) will be the figures for the 2010 year and will be presented in a separate table at the start of the PAYE/BIK/Pensions screen. It is worth noting that this facility is available where the 2009 return was filed either as a paper return or as a ROS return.
Readers should also note that the use of pre-populated 2009 data is optional, and if the pre-population option is refused, a blank Form 11 will be presented.
This new facility is currently only available for the 2010 ROS Form 11, however a similar facility to pre-populate the Corporation Tax return-Form CT1-is expected to be available shortly.
Further information on this new ROS facility is set out in Revenue's eBrief No. 20/11 which is reproduced on here.
