A public consultation has been launched by the European Commission to assist in identifying the key measures to be included in the re-launch of the proposal for a Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB).

The aim of the consultation is to collect views on the extent to which a CCCTB could function as an effective tool against aggressive tax planning without impacting its objective of making the Single Market a more business-friendly environment. The consultation is also welcoming feedback on the criteria that could determine which companies should be subject to mandatory CCCTB. The consultation will be open until 8 January 2016.
